Brave New World
vs
The World Today
There are many differences and similarities between Huxley's imagined future and the modern world today. Between sexual relations, morality, happiness, and fulfillment, there are many different aspects of what the future controllers believe is the right way to run society. Today, people have committed relationships with each other where there is no sharing of their significant other. In addition, sex is not thrown around casually. We have morals and care about multiple people in our lives, instead of only loving ourselves. With the power of freedom, we are able to achieve happiness and fulfillment however we want, whether it be through religion, family, or ourselves. Our traditions have been transformed completely when looked at in the future. Some for the better, and some for worst.
